Horizontal Slip Tables

A Shaker, in horizontal orientation, does not offer any mounting surface as the Armature’s head is perpendicular to Earth. Therefore, in order to achieve vibrations in the X and Y axis, a Horizontal Slip Table (HST) is used which offers a bed parallel to Earth. Our HST bed are machined form magnesium alloy tool plates. This bed connects to the Armature with a Coupling when the shaker is in horizontal orientation. Coupling is designed to operate in tension and compression mode to yield highest transmissibility and is manufactured by welding magnesium alloy tool plates. A granite block is placed beneath the HST bed and an oil film is generated on this granite block to support the payload mounted on the HST bed. Hydrostatic bearings are placed at different locations based on the design of HST to constrain its motion in the same axis as the Shaker. These bearings can have low or high oil pressure as per the performance requirement of the HST. As the motion of this bed is constrained to one direction, the object is rotated by 90° on the bed to switch between X and Y axis. A system integrated with HST is capable of testing objects in all three axes, one at a time. They are available in various shapes and sizes with customised hole patterns as per customer requirement.
